DJs Danny Dior and Diego Rodriguez joined forces to form D Opposite D in 2005, following years as solo artists. The combination of Danny’s extensive production background and Diego’s South American influence creates an explosive mix of skill and wicked doped tech house and techno sounds. Their performances are a sensory spectacle, taking the crowd on a journey where they hear, see, and feel energy and passion the duo has for the music. The duo have toured extensively throughout the Netherlands in clubs such as Zebra Lounge, The Mansion, Escape, Subterraneo, Club NL, Supper Club, Sinners, Panama, Melkweg, Paradiso, Plan C, just to mention a few. D opposite D have also played worldwide in Belgium, Mexico, Germany, England, France, United States, Panama, and more.
The duos attention to detail grows more evident with each new track they produce. D opposite D skills in their DJ sets and in the production studio have rapidly stirred things up in EDM community. Only a couple of months into their production life, famed Cream DJ and producer Lee Ellis and Steal My Oil label head Middleman signed the duo for and exclusive remix of Lofi 010, a favorite of Sasha. Since then,the have produced several original tracks and remixes for several producers. D Opposite D are currently very busy in the studio producing remixes for several producers and beginning an album that will hit the markets in 2010. They are also busy establishing a new label, Phase Shift Records, to be launched in 2010, which will be the instrument that will allow talented producers to explore and push the boundaries of house music in its various forms: tech house, minimal, progressive, deep house.
Danny Dior He has been playing and producing for more than 15 years. He has extensive production experience in house, tech house and minimal. His style is unique, playing a sophistication of sounds and mixing genres that make the crowds dance with passion and depth. Danny is more than just a DJ; as a producer he also entertains, enthuses and ignites his audiences. Danny has worked with industry heavy hitters such as Hed Kandi, Niteworks Recordings, and more. With more than 13 years of production and entertainment experience in dance clubs, events, radio and TV, Danny has honed his ability to match musical, commercial and vocal talents with any type of given event.
Diego Rodriguez Born in Uruguay, Diego has always been drawn to music. His natural music talents enabled him to rock high school parties in Montevideo by age 13. By the time he reached his late teens, Diego began playing in large parties and working with renowned promoter Alfredo Etchegaray in Punta del Este (the Ibiza of South America), playing private events and fashion shows. Upon his return to Montevideo, he became a resident in club Bozzo. His South American roots and his own personal style reflect the latest minimal, progressive, tech-house and tribal beats.
